Nõmme Nature House

Keskus:Nõmme Nature House

The Nõmme Nature House hosts clubs operated by the hobby school Tallinn Nõmme Youth House (nature clubs, nature and art club, and dog-trainers’ club), as well as the non-profit association Nõmme Nature House, which provides extra-curricular environmental education for the city’s educational institutions on a project basis (EIC projects). Family days and other events are jointly organised for the city’s residents.
Our small house is also home to more than a hundred representatives of the animal kingdom – such an “animal life corner” is one of a kind in the large Tallinn City. On prior agreement, children’s groups may visit the animal life corner and interact directly with the animals. This year, the costs of animal feed are covered by the Tallinn Environmental Board on a project basis. As the building houses a dog-trainers’ club, and two of our teachers have a total of seven dogs between them, visitors can often see different dogs here and ask for advice on how to train a dog.
