The exposition of the Matsalu Nature Centre, located on the 2nd floor of the Penijõe manor house, provides the visitors with an excellent opportunity to explore the peculiarities of the Matsalu National Park: Europe’s largest natural floodplain meadows, reed beds, the development of the lower reaches of Kasari River throughout the decades, unique coastal meadows, wooded meadows and forest stands, a rich cultural heritage. A 20-minute picture programme titled A Year in Matsalu. Life in Matsalu from Frost to Frost (2009) provides a vivid overview of the inhabitants of the national park and their activities. The programme was compiled by Arne Ader, with music by Sven Grünberg and a voiceover by Fred Jüssi.
